REALLY??! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??! Who the hell wants a fill-in-the-blank wedding toast??! The ONLY time a fill-in-the-blank template is acceptable for anything is when you are playing Mad Libs... and preferably only if it is a dirty version.
I know my fuming fury about this *ahem* business is partly self-motivated; I mean it's not the best for MY business. Why hire me when you can send away for a $14.95 workbook that lets you compose a toast by connecting the dots? I feel the need to defend myself here, however selfish my motivation may be. And it's not all about competition... I'm for a free market as much as the next patriotic American. Let the games begin. However, I DO NOT advocate the idea of watering down a wedding toast. I spend a week with my couples, getting to them and their relationship. My toasts are custom-made; unique to the love story and relationship of each couple I'm toasting.
As much as you may think my rant here is self-serving, I believe in the dignity of words too much to let this one go. Every love story is different. Every love story deserves to be celebrated. Don't let your love be toasted by the connect-the-dot process. Your relationship means more than that.
ps... Don't even get me STARTED on this one...
